Born and raised in the beautiful hills of Mocho, Clarendon, Jamaica. Andrew Wayne Hanson AKA Kappo, singer, songwriter, entertainer and DJ have been honing his singing talent over many decades.

His mom Eudalee and dad Altyman, recognized his talent very early. He gains much popularity in the community because of his singing, which saw churches, schools, and clubs enlisting him as one of their main acts at functions.

His musical repertoire has taken him to the four corners of Jamaica, USA, and many other countries. While residing in Florida he teamed up with The Psyche Band and soon became a hit amongst Floridians as they soaked up Kappo and the Psyche Band smooth sounds of R&B, POP, and Reggae.

Kappo with a quest to tour the world to share his unique voice to music lovers was awarded the opportunity to become a major performer on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, where he uses his voice to captivate visitors from all over the globe.

He recently released his original songs Party Time, Sensimillia, Father God Knows and Miss My Love. Additionally, he has added the roots rock reggae touch to Sam Smith’s “I’m not the only one” and Phil Collins’ “One More Night.” Kappo’s most memorable accomplishments to-date are performing at The Golden Eye Hotel in St Mary for Harry Styles and the One Direction Band. The popular English based band came to Jamaica for a private party to celebrate young Harry’s 21st birthday in February of 2014.

Secondly, Kappo and the Psyche Band were also featured on NBC-TV Miami in 2009, as they were the main opening act for The Fort Lauderdale Jerk Festival.

Being one of his biggest critique Kappo is still aiming to achieve greatness. He strives to continue making positive music and contributing to the genre he loves most, authentic roots reggae.
